In the latest indication of their commitment to their proposed new arena in San Francisco’s Mission Bay neighborhood, the Warriors on Tuesday released an animated video at the Dreamforce convention at Moscone Center.
The two-minute video, unveiled by Warriors COO Rick Welts, shows the exterior of the building and its surrounding area west of the Bay and several blocks south of AT&T Park. It also provides a glimpse of the interior of the arena.
The building, slated to seat about 18,000 for basketball, will be privately financed at a cost of about $1 billion. It will be situated adjacent to the Mission Bay campus of the University of California-San Francisco medical center.

Meanwhile, the Warriors continue to seek final approval while a group of local citizens – the Mission Bay Alliance – remains determined to fight the new arena proposal on the grounds of its impact to traffic and the UCSF medical center.
