OAKLAND -- The reconstituted Warriors consider themselves to be deeper than in the past, and their belief is being tested immediately.
Starting power forward David Lee is listed as doubtful for opening night Wednesday in Sacramento. A strained left hamstring has kept Lee out of practice the past couple days. It's unlikely he will play at all, and certain that will not start.
Head coach Steve Kerr said Tuesday that Draymond Green, typically an indispensible players off the bench, will replace Lee in the starting lineup against the Kings. Marreese Speights stands be the first backup power forward.
In addition, reserve small forward Brandon Rush is listed as questionable with a sacral stress reaction in his lower back.
The good news on the health front is that guard Shaun Livingston, who has not played at all during the preseason, was able Tuesday to participate in his first full scrimmage. Though it went well, by all accounts, Kerr said Livingston will not play Wednesday night.
