Prior to Tuesday's game in Memphis, Andrew Bogut revealed to reporters he was diagnosed with chondromalacia, more commonly known as "runner's knee."
The 30-year old center will miss his fifth straight game tonight when the Warriors host Oklahoma City, and after undergoing platelet-rich plasma therapy on Wednesday, there is no timetable for his return.
"We fully support Andrew in his decision to undergo the PRP treatment," Golden State GM Bob Myers said in a press release Thursday morning. "Our number one concern is that Andrew is 100 percent healthy and we will continue to support him in any way we can to make that happen."
PRP places a patient's blood in a centrifuge and spins it to separate the platelet-rich plasma, which is then injected back into the injured tissue.
On Nov. 23, Rockets coach Kevin McHale revealed that Dwight Howard underwent PRP treatment and would be sidelined indefinitely.
Howard ultimately missed 11 games before returning to action last Sunday against Denver.
