Warriors forward Harrison Barnes, out since Nov. 27 with a sprained left ankle, will be sidelined at least another week, the Warriors said in a statement issued on Sunday.
Barnes, who is traveling with the team on its current road trip, was scheduled for another evaluation this weekend, after which it was determined that he will miss additional time.
The Warriors added that Barnes is “making progress on his left ankle sprain and will be reevaluated again next Sunday.”
Brandon Rush has been starting in place of Barnes, who sustained the injury when he landed on the foot of Phoenix forward Markieff Morris.
Barnes, the only Warrior who appeared in all 82 games last season, is averaging 13.4 points per game, third on the Warriors behind Steph Curry (32.6) and Klay Thompson (17.0).
