Jermaine O'Neal attended the Warriors' blowout win over the Clippers on Wednesday, and when his presence was announced at Oracle Arena, the sellout crowd showered last year's big man with a standing ovation.
The moment clearly had an impact on the 36-year-old, based on his recent Instagram post:
I have to salute and say thank you to everyone that a was in oracle arena last night for that STANDING OVATION! It's impossible to put into words what that means to me! It's incredible how much love that has grown between us and the bond that we have created in just one short year! I've been very blessed to play in some fantastic cities and in front of some great fans, but what you guys did for me last night I will always remember! I'm humbled and blessed to have you guys as a second family!!!! Thank you to the warriors organization for that very classy gesture by announcing that I was there! I also want to thank joe Lacob and Peter Guber for invite and great tickets!
O'Neal averaged 7.9 points, 5.5 rebounds and 20.1 minutes in 44 games -- 13 starts -- last season for the Warriors.
