Backup point guard Shaun Livingston was slapped with a one-game suspension for a Flagrant 1 foul committed in the Warriors 123-110 win Saturday night at Dallas.
The suspension, announced by the NBA on Sunday afternoon, will be served when the Warriors face the Spurs on Sunday night in San Antonio.
Livingston committed the foul while guarding Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki late in the third quarter at American Airlines Center. Livingston, standing behind Nowitzki, drove his right hand between be the Nowitzki's legs and made contact with his groin area.
Nowitzki winced and shouted as the foul was called. Game officials reviewed the play and assessed the Flagrant 1 foul. Nowitzki after the game shrugged off the incident, saying that Livingston is "really is not that type of player."
Livingston, in an attempt to defend himself, said the incident was unintentional and noted that had not been associated with "dirty play" at any time during his 11-year career.
