OAKLAND -- A mediocre free-throw shooter earlier in his career, Andrew Bogut's percentage has declined in the wake of shattering his right elbow in 2010. His career high is 62.9 percent. He shot 34.4 percent last season.
Bogut has resorted to shooting with his left hand in hopes of boosting his efficiency. After making 1 of 4 during games last week, he was encouraged by seeing a straighter and more fluid shot. He's taking hundreds of shots per day, usually with his left hand.
As for which hand he will use, the verdict remains out.
"Will I do it in the regular season? Who knows?" Bogut said. "But it's something I'm trying in the preseason to see how it feels. For the most part ... I feel like it's a better rhythm for me, but we'll see what happens."
Left-handed or right-handed, it doesn't matter to Kerr. He's sticking with his big man in the final minutes of close games.
