San Jose Sharks GM Doug Wilson announced Saturday that the club has recalled forward Daniil Tarasov from the Worcester Sharks (AHL).
Tarasov, 23, has recorded 28 points (12 goals, 16 assists) and 16 penalty minutes in 45 games with Worcester this season. He ranks fourth on Worcester in goals and tied for fourth in points.
In two games with San Jose this season, Tarasov has posted one assist and three shots on goal. He made his NHL debut on Feb. 5, 2015 at Vancouver.
A six-foot, 185-pound native of Moscow, Russia, Tarasov was signed by San Jose as an undrafted free agent on April 2, 2013.
