DENVER - Tyler Kennedy isn’t quite prepared to get back into game action, after all.
The 28-year-old forward, who said last Friday that he was ready to return, has been sent to AHL Worcester on a conditioning assignment, the Sharks announced on Monday. Kennedy has been dealing with an upper body injury suffered early in training camp during practice.
Kennedy had four goals and 13 assists in 67 games for the Sharks last season, but was a healthy scratch in the playoffs.

The Sharks roster currently has 13 healthy forwards, including John Scott, who has been suspended for two games. Tye McGinn, who sat out on Sunday against the Ducks, would be the likely replacement for Scott when San Jose plays the Avalanche on Tuesday if no other roster moves are made.

The Sharks did not skate on Monday, due to a scheduled off day in Denver.
