Former Raiders wideout James Jones will return to the NFC, as he is set to sign a deal with the New York Giants.
The deal is said to be for one year, CSN reporter Fallon Smith was told.
Jones was released by the Raiders after the conclusion of the 2014 NFL season, and following the draft where the team selected Alabama star Amari Cooper.
The Raiders also added Michael Crabtree in free agency.
The 31-year-old Jones played seven seasons with the Green Bay Packers and won a Super Bowl during his tenure there.
Jones caught 73 of 112 targets from rookie quarterback Derek Carr, and found the end zone six times in his one-year stint with the Raiders.
