Former Broncos defensive tackle Terrance “Pot Roast” Knighton has signed with Washington for a one-year contract, a source confirmed to CSNWashington.com on Thursday night.
The deal is for one year, $4 million.
Knighton, a 6-3, 331-pound run stopper, spent his first four seasons in Jacksonville and the last two in Denver. In 2014, he recorded 30 combined tackles, two sacks, three defended passes and was rated as the NFL’s 12th best tackle by ProFootballFocus.com.
The 28-year-old has also proven durable, starting 16 games each of the past two seasons.
