ALAMEDA -– Raiders left guard Gabe Jackson did not participate in Wednesday’s practice, but was seen doing side work with a large bandage around his left knee.
That confirms what league sources had indicated, that he injured the aforementioned joint late in Sunday’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
The exact nature or severity of the injury remains unknown. Interim head coach Tony Sparano will give an update after Wednesday’s practice, though he generally doesn’t provide injury specifics to the press.
Veteran Khalif Barnes, who played left guard though the preseason before switching to right tackle, stepped into Jackson’s spot during portions of practice open to the press.
TJ Carrie and Carlos Rogers (knee) were also out of practice. Receiver Vincent Brown returned after missing time with a hamstring.
