NAPA -- Rookie first-round safety Karl Joseph and second-year tight end Clive Walford returned to practice on Friday, a day after both young players missed a workout for undisclosed reasons.
Joseph and Walford were active with the first unit in early portions of a toned-down session following four straight practices in pads.
Defensive lineman Denico Autry also made his training camp debut on Friday, after missing six practices on the physically unable to perform list with a right hand/wrist/arm injury. He was taken off PUP add added to the active 90-man roster.
Autry hopped right in with the first team, where he's expected to compete with rookie Jihad Ward for a spot playing closed defensive end in the base defense and an interior pass rusher in sub packages. This marks Autry's first practice in some time. He missed all the offseason program sessions open to the media.
Running back/return man Taiwan Jones worked on the side while sitting out his second straight practice.
