LAS VEGAS -- Dane Pineau had 16 points, eight rebounds and five assists, and Emmett Naar scored 14 with six assists to help top-seeded Saint Mary's beat Loyola Marymount 60-48 in the quarterfinals of the West Coast Conference tournament Saturday night.
The Gaels will play No. 4 seed Pepperdine (18-12) in the semifinals Monday. The Waves beat Saint Mary's (26-4) in both regular-season matchups this season.
Loyola Marymount (14-17) led 29-25 at the break, but went cold in the second half.
Steven Haney made a 3-pointer to put the Lions up 40-38 with 10:58 to play, but Saint Mary's hit three 3s during a 14-1 run that gave the Gaels a 52-41 lead with 4:59 left.
LMU, which went nearly seven minutes without a field goal, trailed by at least nine the rest of the way.
Saint Mary's shot 59 percent from the field, while the Lions hit just 8 of 30 (26.7 percent), in the second half.
Haney led LMU with 19 points.
