Contract status: Under contract through 2016-17, Landry was signed as a free agent on July 15, 2013.
2013-14 in review: Landry struggled with injuries including a tear in his left hip flexor sustained in training camp knocking him out of the entire preseason and the first 38 regular season games of the campaign.
A medial meniscus tear in his right knee that required surgery ended the 2013-14 season prematurely after appearing in only eighteen games.
2014-15 outlook: Sacramento is clamoring for consistency around DeMarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay and with career averages of 11.5 points per game, 5.2 rebounds per game and 24 minutes per game, Landry has the desired credentials.
If healthy, Landry can battle for minutes with Jason Thompson, Reggie Evans, Derrick Williams and Eric Moreland in a crowded Sacramento frontcourt.

However, overcoming last season’s injuries remain a major question mark. Landry did have his best preseason outing in San Antonio on Monday delivering 15 points and 7 rebounds in 18 minutes in a 106-99 Kings loss.
Entering his eighth NBA season, the former Purdue Boilermaker brings playoff experience with Houston, New Orleans and Golden State to a Kings franchise that has gone eight years without reaching the postseason.
Notwithstanding, Landry’s preseason performance in San Antonio and the aforementioned playoff experience, all bets are off on consistent minutes and being a major part of the Kings rotation until he demonstrates he’s past the injuries physically and mentally.
