Kings forward Rudy Gay was shaken up after taking an inadvertent elbow to the head from Grizzlies' center Marc Gasol Monday night.
The injury occurred while Gay was attempting a back door cut late in the third quarter. He left the game and did not return.
He underwent concussion testing at FedEx Forum. After the game, Kings head coach George Karl told reporters that Gay suffered a concussion and would have to go through the required tests.
Gay entered Monday averaging 20.8 points per game ranking 13th in the NBA.
The Kings were also operating without All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins, who was out resting in Memphis due to a variety of nagging injuries.
