With the eyes of ESPN’s national television audience focused on Sleep Train Arena Friday night, Sacramento Kings fans broke a Guinness World Record for the Loudest Crowd Roar at an Indoor Sports Stadium.
The sell-out crowd of 17,317 reached 124.9 decibels in the 1st quarter, topping the previous world record of 106.6 dBA set by Milwaukee Bucks fans in 2008.
The fans would go on to break the record yet again, topping 126 decibels in the third quarter.
Guinness World Records adjudicator presented the Kings with a certificate for the record.
