DeMarcus Cousins has been ruled out on the Kings injury report for Monday’s matchup in Memphis against the Grizzlies in favor of rest.
Cousins, a first-time All-Star is averaging 24.1 points and 12.4 rebounds per night, fifth and second in the the NBA, respectively, and is also second in the NBA with 44 double-doubles despite missing 16 games on the campaign due to illness and injury.

Sacramento is 3-13 this year without Cousins in the lineup.
The 6-foot-11 center was on a roll, averaging 28 points per night over his last 10 games, but has been fighting through a number of injuries including setbacks to his ankles, back, shoulder and calf.
The Kings (26-46) are now 8-12 since George Karl took over and 5-5 over their last 10 games. The Grizzlies (50-24), have dropped games to formidable foes in the Cavaliers, Warriors and Spurs, and are also 5-5 over their last 10 outings.
