Programming note: Kings-Pelicans coverage starts today at 4:30pm with Kings Pregame Live on CSN California, and streaming live right here.
The Sacramento Kings finish their four-game road trip in New Orleans Monday night when they take on the Pelicans at Smoothie Kings Center. With a win, the Kings would improve to 2-2 before heading back to Sacramento to take on LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday.
With the loss to the Spurs on Saturday night, and the Rockets' win over the Toronto Raptors, the Kings now trail Houston by five games in the race for the eighth spot in the west with only 21 games remaining. The Kings are just 1-5 over their last six games and in desperate need of a win.
The Pelicans haven’t been able to stay healthy for the last few seasons, but this year has been brutal. It’s hard to build continuity when you have no idea which players are going to suit up on a nightly basis.
