While rehabbing from a sprained right thumb, Giants catcher Andrew Susac went hitless on Saturday night with the Sacramento River Cats.
Susac, who has .241/.309/.411 with three home runs in 41 games played for the Giants this season, still took a step forward to return to San Francisco.
After playing for the Giants' Single-A affiliate, San Jose Giants, where he went yard on Friday, Susac went up to the Triple-A River Cats on Saturday. On the night, Susac went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts against the Round Rock Express.
Since going on the 15-day disabled list, Susac is 4-for-18 in five games, for a .222 average. He's hit one home run while knocking in three runners and struck out six times.
The Roseville native has hit .255/.317/.435 with six home runs in 76 career games for the Giants.
