The popular sports video game MLB 14: The Show simulated the 2014 World Series between the San Francisco Giants and Kansas City Royals.
So far the simulation has been eerily close, with the Giants stealing Game 1 at Kauffman Stadium behind the stellar pitching of Madison Bumgarner and a big first inning at the plate.

In the simulation, the Giants scored four runs in the first inning. In Game 1 on Tuesday night, San Francisco's bats tagged James Shields for three runs to jump out to an early lead.
Bumgarner then proceeded to close the door on the Royals, as the simulation projected.
The simulation has the Royals winning Game 2 behind great defense, aggressive base-running and strong pitching, tying the series at one apiece.
The Giants return home to AT&T Park and claim Game 3, but the Royals are able to get a Game 4 victory to keep the series close at 2-2.

Bumgarner steps back onto the mound in Game 5, and the Giants run away with it, taking a 3-2 series lead back to KC.
Despite the Royals piling on the runs early in Game 6, the Giants stay calm and find some of that magic they're known for, breaking through to win 7-5, claiming their third World Series title in five years.
Hunter Pence was named World Series MVP.
