Ryan Vogelsong has signed a one-year deal with the Pirates, the team announced on Friday.
This will be Vogelsong's third stint with Pittsburgh. He pitched for the Bucs briefly in 2001 and from 2003 to 2006.
The 38-year-old right-hander finished last season with a 9-11 record and 4.67 ERA in 33 games (22 starts) for the Giants.
In seven seasons with San Francisco, Vogelsong went 48-49 with a 3.93 ERA in 265 games (165 starts). His best year came in 2011, when he finished with 13 wins and a 2.71 ERA, and was named an All-Star.
