The Giants have plenty of competition for the services of free agent third baseman Pablo Sandoval.
And the San Diego Padres are reportedly now on the list of possible suitors for Sandoval.
CBS Sports is reporting that the Padres are interested in signing Sandoval. The Giants' division rival is in search of a third baseman after trading Chase Headley to the Yankees during the 2014 season.
In 53 games at Petco Park, Sandoval is hitting .284 with 10 home runs, 26 RBI and a .355 OBP.
