In search of a new third baseman, the Giants have become "aggressive" in their pursuit of free agent Chase Headley, according to Fox Sports.
Headley is considered the top third base option on the market after Pablo Sandoval signed with Boston on November 25.

On Thursday, Yahoo! Sports reported that Headley currently has a four-year offer for around $65 million from an unknown team in-hand.

Last season, Headley was traded from the Padres to the Yankees on July 22.
In 135 games between the two teams, the 30-year-old Headley hit .243 with 20 doubles, 13 home runs and 49 RBI.
His best season came in 2012 when he hit .286 with 31 home runs and drove in 115 runs in 161 games for the Padres.
