Despite the fact that Brian Wilson opted in to his $9.5 million player option for the 2015 season, the Dodgers designated him for assignment on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, Giants broadcaster Mike Krukow said he was "blown away they (Los Angeles) dumped him."
On Thursday, Krukow's television partner didn't share the same sentiment.
"My reaction is: The Dodgers have money, they can spend it ... If you got the money, then you can eat it, too," Kuiper told KNBR 680-AM. "And that's what they really did with Wilson.
"If you have money and you can spend it in a way where if the guy doesn't pan out and it's not gonna affect you, then you can do it."
