The Giants made a slew of roster moves Sunday morning to reduce their roster as they get ready to break camp later this week.
Most notably, catcher Andrew Susac was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento. Hector Sanchez will be the Giants' Opening Day back-up catcher.
Also optioned to Sacramento were outfielders Juan Perez and Gary Brown, first baseman Adam Duvall and reliever Hunter Strickland.
Catcher Guillermo Quiroz, infilder Brandon Hicks and relievers Curtis Partch, Steven Okert, Juan Gutierrez and Brett Bochy were reassigned to minor league camp.
Susac, Duvall, Brown, Strickland and Perez are optioned to Sacramento.
