With the All-Star Game 2016 Final Vote set to end at 1 p.m. Friday, teammates of San Francisco Giants first baseman Brandon Belt took to social media to propel the Baby Giraffe to the finish line.
In a video post on Instagram, Giants right fielder Hunter Pence, who's currently on the disabled list, said "spoke for my man, Brandon Belt. Really needs to be in the All-Star Game, guys. ... Let's get our boy Brandon Belt to the All-Star Game. He belongs."
Belt responded to Pence's Instagram post:
Haha! Thanks Hunter https://t.co/S59Np9GBvv— Brandon Belt (@bbelt9) July 8, 2016
Buster Posey, the starting catcher for the National League, took to Instagram as well to voice his opinion.
Posey, Madison Bumgarner and Johny Cueto will represent the Giants in the All-Star Game next week in San Diego
Belt is hitting .300 with 10 home runs and 46 RBI this season.
Belt, Ryan Braun, Jake Lamb, Starling Marte and Trevor Story make up the National League's Final Vote ballot.
