PHOENIX -- At this point, the Giants might want to start ordering MRIs in bulk.
Brandon Belt will go for tests Wednesday after coming out of the second game of the season with a strained right groin. Belt felt the groin grab on him as he ran back on a pop up down the first base line in the fifth inning.
"It grabbed me pretty good at first," he said. "But honestly I don't think it's too bad."

Belt said he can jog right now but would have problems making explosive movements side to side. When he got hurt, he tried to stay in the game.
"You could see the look on his face, he was hurting a little," manager Bruce Bochy said. "It's not worth taking the chance."
The Giants will have minor leaguers on high alert if an MRI shows that Belt needs to go on the DL. They are already short on the bench since they're carrying 13 pitchers. Adam Duvall would be one option to come up and play first base if needed. The Giants also could call up catcher Andrew Susac and move Buster Posey to first. Belt hopes none of that is necessary.
"It's frustrating but I'm pretty optimistic about it," he said.
