The Giants have their own hamstring issues with Hunter Pence and Angel Pagan on the 15-day DL, both nursing hamstring injuries.
Pence is likely to miss two months after his MRI revealed he completely tore his right hamstring off the bone. The Giants are leaning towards Pence having surgery, CSN Bay Area's Giants Insider Alex Pavlovic has learned.
Now, San Francisco's rival the Los Angeles Dodgers, have their own hamstring issue on their hands. The club announced Friday night that outfielder Yasiel Puig has been placed on the 15-day DL with a strained left hamstring.
Los Angeles reinstated IF/OF Scott Van Slyke from the DL in a corresponding move.

This isn't Puig's first time with a hamstring injury forcing him to be placed on the DL. In fact, it's the third time in 14 months that Puig has hit the DL with a hamstring injury, reports Bill Shaikin of the LA Times.
Puig has been having a career-worst at the plate for the Dodgers this year. In 53 games played, Puig is hitting only .237/.283/.350 with five home runs. All are career-lows for the fourth-year outfielder.
Since Puig's rookie season, in which he hit .319/.391/.534 with 19 home runs, his numbers have dipped in every slash line category and in home runs. He was named to the National League All-Star team in 2014, his second year in the league.
Going into Friday night, the Dodgers had a record of 28-27, good for 5.5 games behind the Giants in the NL West.
