WASHINGTON – Giants manager Bruce Bochy received three or four ice bucket challenges on Friday. One of them came from Barry Bonds.
And after his club flicked away the Washington Nationals’ 10-game winning streak in a 10-3 victory Friday night, Bochy was in a celebratory mood.

Michael Morse and Javier Lopez were the bucket bearers as Bochy took a cold soak in front of the visiting dugout at Nationals Park.
“Yeah, Barry, thanks,” said Bochy, once his teeth stopped chattering. “I accepted, and accepted gladly because this is a terrible disease. But for Barry to throw me under the bus … there’s going to be payback.”
The challenge, which raises money and awareness for ALS, has gone viral because each person who takes it can pass it along to three more individuals. Bochy chose Morse and Lopez – “It was a slow dump,” he said – and added coach Shawon Dunston on general principle.
“I feel great now,” Bochy said. “It was actually nice. Last night it would’ve been even better.”
