MESA, Ariz. -– A’s left fielder Coco Crisp left Sunday’s game after two innings with soreness in his right (throwing) elbow.
Manager Bob Melvin didn’t have any further update on Crisp’s condition. He said the veteran, who was making his third start of the spring since switching to left field, was previously scheduled to be off Monday anyway.
“We’ll see how he is the day after,” Melvin said. “It could be a couple days.”
Melvin added that Crisp wasn’t slated to play very deep in Sunday’s 10-4 loss to the White Sox anyway, so he didn’t want to risk keeping Crisp out there.
