Who will be the 49ers' starting quarterback in 2016?
Both Colin Kaepernick and Blaine Gabbert are under contract for next season, but it's unclear if Kaepernick will be on the team next season.
If the 49ers and Kaepernick do part ways, Torrey Smith is confident Gabbert can excel under Chip Kelly.

"I think people assume that because of this offense, Kap's the best fit, but Blaine can do everything," Smith told KNBR 680 on Thursday morning. "He might not be as fast, but Blaine housed a 40-yard run last year.
"He can run. He can get rid of the ball quick so I think it's gonna be an interesting battle."
There can only be an interesting battle if Kaepernick returns.
He apparently wants out of San Francisco and the Jets are reportedly his "preferred destination."

"I don't know how that really makes sense," Smith said. "Unless you hear it from the horse's mouth, I don't really buy leaks or sources, especially when it comes from a player like that.
"This is probably the best offense for him. Things obviously didn't go the way he wanted last year, so your emotions can play a part in that. But I don't know, I think he would do very well in this offense."
At his introductory press conference on Jan. 20, Chip Kelly let it be known that both Kaepernick and Gabbert "made this an attractive situation."
“Obviously, Kap is an extremely talented football player,” Kelly said. “And you need to have a good quarterback to win. But I was also impressed in the film I watched in terms of how Blaine played this year, also.
“I think statistics bear out that you probably need two good quarterbacks in this league with the injury rate quarterbacks have."
