Aldon Smith has engaged in interviews with police and conversations with members of the 49ers organization since his arrest April 13 at Los Angeles International Airport.

But on Monday night, he had his first public comments since the day of his arrest for making a false report of a bomb threat. Smith went to Twitter with the following message:

The 49ers on Friday exercised the fifth-year option on Smith for $9.754 million for the 2015 season.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office referred the Smith case to the Los Angeles City Attorney¹s Office last week for misdemeanor consideration. The City Attorney has requested more information before deciding whether to charge Smith at all.
