The 49ers are "very interested" in acquiring free-agent wide receiver Torrey Smith, according to a national report.

Smith, who just turned 26 years old in January, has played for the Baltimore Ravens for the past four seasons.
The Maryland product was drafted by the team in 2011 with the 58th overall pick.

Smith has proven to be durable, starting 62 of 64 games played in his career. He has not missed a game since he was drafted.
The 6-foot-1 speedster has recorded 213 receptions, 3,591 yards and 30 receiving touchdowns to start his career.
Smith posted a career-best 11 touchdowns in 2014, despite tying a career-low 49 receptions on the year.
He helped lead the Ravens to a Super Bowl victory in 2012 when Baltimore defeated San Francisco. His fellow wideout that year was current 49ers receiver Anquan Boldin.
