The St. Louis Rams reportedly received permission from the 49ers to interview offensive coordinator Greg Roman for the same position.
Roman, who interviewed Friday for the Buffalo Bills head-coaching job, is being sought by Rams coach Jeff Fisher to interview to replace Brian Schottenheimer as offensive coordinator, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported. An interview date has not been set up, a source said.

Schottenheimer left the Rams this week to take the same position with the University of Georgia.
Roman interviewed for the Tampa Bay offensive coordinator position that coach Lovie Smith filled with the hiring of former Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter.
Roman, who remains under contract to the 49ers but will not return to the organization next season, is also scheduled to interview for the Jacksonville Jaguars offensive coordinator position on Saturday.
