OAKLAND – Second-year wide receiver Quinton Patton will suit up for a game for the first time this season.
Patton has been a healthy scratch for every game this season. He takes the spot of struggling Brandon Lloyd, who has just 12 receptions for 268 yards in 11 games this season.
Lloyd has been nursing a quadriceps strain. But the 49ers on Friday listed Lloyd as probable, meaning he was healthy enough to play in Sunday’s game against the Raiders.
As a rookie in 2013, Patton appeared in six games in the regular season and caught three passes for 34 yards. He had two catches in three playoff games for 25 yards.
The 49ers also will get the services of rookie wide receiver Bruce Ellington, who missed the past three games with an ankle sprain. Ellington is expected to resume his duties on punt and kickoff returns.
With right tackle Anthony Davis ruled out with a concussion, Jonathan Martin will start his eighth game of the season.
