SANTA CLARA – The 49ers will not have their leading rusher available for Sunday’s game, and the Seattle Seahawks' top rushing threat is questionable, too.
Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch was a game-time decision last week for the Seahawks due to an abdominal strain. The Seahawks list him as questionable for Sunday’s game against the 49ers. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll told reporters Friday that Lynch is "questionable with a positive bend."
Lynch rushed for 42 yards and a touchdown on eight attempts in the Seahawks’ 39-32 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. Lynch leads the Seahawks with 417 yards (3.8-yard average) and three touchdowns. Lynch rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries when Seattle played the 49ers on Oct. 22 at Levi's Stadium.
In Lynch's past nine games against the 49ers, he has averaged 101.9 yards rushing with 11 touchdowns.
Seahawks backup running back Thomas Rawls, a rookie from Central Michigan, has 395 yards rushing on 71 attempts (5.6 average).
The 49ers have already ruled out running back Carlos Hyde due to a stress fracture in his left foot. Hyde is the 49ers’ leading rusher with 470 yards and three touchdowns.
Shaun Draughn is expected to start for the 49ers after gaining 58 yards rushing on 16 attempts in his 49ers debut against the Atlanta Falcons before the bye week.
Wide receiver Anquan Boldin, who sat out the past two games with a hamstring strain, is listed as questionable. He has participated in practices this week and is expected to be available for the game.
