Following the 49ers' win over Minnesota on Monday night, video surfaced of an assault against a 35-year old victim wearing a Vikings jersey.
On Friday afternoon, the Santa Clara Police Department announced it arrested four suspects:
- Felix Chavira, 32, (wearing number 28 SF 49ers jersey in the video) and a resident of Hollister
- Juan Arias, 33, (wearing a white jacket in the video) and a resident of Hollister
- Eric Martinez, 30, (wearing number 80 SF 49ers jersey in the video) and a resident of San Jose
- a 17-year-old woman whom police did not name because she is a juvenile.
The 49ers issued the following statement:
“The San Francisco 49ers organization commends the Santa Clara Police Department for quickly identifying and apprehending the four alleged assailants involved in Monday night’s incident.
"During the investigation we learned that one of the assailants was identified as a 49ers season ticket member. As a result of his behavior, the Santa Clara Stadium Authority is terminating the individual’s Stadium Builders License and the 49ers are revoking his season tickets.
"We are steadfast in our commitment to fostering a safe and enjoyable environment at Levi’s Stadium for all visitors and remind fans that behavior like this will not be tolerated.”
