Not surprisingly, Eagles inside linebacker Mychal Kendricks won’t play Sunday against the 49ers at Levi’s Stadium.
A calf injury sidelined Kendricks from practice for a second straight week and the team listed the third-year pro as out against San Francisco, along with center Jason Kelce, who’s out for several weeks with a sports hernia.
Filling in for Kendricks for the second straight game will be Emmanuel Acho, Casey Matthews and Marcus Smith. Acho and Matthews rotated by series against the Redskins, with Smith playing a situational role on third down.
Kendricks suffered the calf injury in the team’s Monday night road win against the Colts and hasn’t practiced since, although he’s not wearing any protective wraps around the injured calf and seems to be moving around better.
Rookie wideout Josh Huff, who still hasn’t made an appearance, is listed as questionable. Huff sprained his shoulder in the preseason and has gradually worked his way back. He’s been practicing for the past two weeks.
