SANTA CLARA -– Defensive end Justin Smith remains undecided on his future, so the 49ers’ final two games could be the last of his NFL career.
Smith recently said he would decide after the season whether he would attempt to play his 15th NFL season. But many players in the 49ers’ locker room believe it is a strong possibility Smith will not be back.

Outside linebacker Aldon Smith said he is not sure what Justin Smith will decide.
“I just hope we can end on a strong note," Aldon Smith said. "It’s good to play with him. If he’s here next year, that’s good. If he’s not, I’m sure he’ll be happy retired.”
