The 49ers signed former Stanford linebacker Shayne Skov to a reserve/future contract on Friday.
Skov originally signed with the 49ers in May as an undrafted rookie. He was among the team’s final cuts before the start of the regular season and spent nine weeks on the 49ers’ practice squad during two different stints.
He spent the first two weeks on the 49ers’ practice squad but was released and signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ practice squad. He returned to the 49ers later in the season after the Buccaneers released him.
Skov did not appear on the 49ers' 53-man roster as a rookie.
