SANTA CLARA -- Linebacker Patrick Willis and the three other 49ers players who sustained injuries in Monday night's game did not practice on Wednesday as the team began preparations to face the Denver Broncos.
Willis was seen Wednesday limping with an orthopedic boot on his left foot. He is not expected to be available for Sunday night's game due to a toe injury.
Guard Mike Iupati (concussion), defensive back Jimmie Ward (quad) and wide receiver Stevie Johnson (hip) also were not on the field at the start of practice on Wednesday.
Right tackle Anthony Davis (knee) and cornerback Tramaine Brock returned to the practice field -- most likely in a limited fashion.
Davis has missed two games with an MCL sprain. Brock has been out since Week 1 with "turf toe." Davis appears to have the better chance of returning to action against the Broncos.
Cornerback Chris Culliver, and defensive linemen Ian Williams and Tony Jerod-Eddie wore blue jerseys, signifying they are off-limits for contact at practice.
The 49ers are require to report to the league office the level of participation of each of their players following practice.
The team is scheduled to conclude practice at approximately 4:30 p.m.
