Former San Francisco 49ers wide receiver, and first-round pick, A.J. Jenkins, recently cleared waivers after being released by the Kansas City Chiefs.
Jenkins, 25, was drafted by the 49ers out of Illinois with the No. 30 overall pick in 2012.
The 6-foot-0, 200-pound pass-catcher never recorded a catch during his brief stint in San Francisco. He appeared in three games, had no starts and was targeted once.
The following offseason, Jenkins was traded to the Chiefs for another first-round receiver that didn't quite pan out in Jon Baldwin.
Jenkins started three of 25 games in Kansas City, recording 17 grabs for 223 yards and no touchdowns.
Baldwin had three receptions for 28 yards in 2013. He was waived by the 49ers in August of 2014, and is currently a free agent.
