Warriors big man Marreese Speights will serve a one-game suspension without pay Friday night at Denver in the wake of pleading no contest to reckless driving, the NBA announced Friday morning.
Speights was arrested last August in Florida for suspicion of driving under the influence, pleaded to the lesser charge and paid $903 in fines and court costs.

Speights, 27, has been a key reserve this season. He is averaging a career-high 11.0 points to go along with 4.5 rebounds and 16.7 minutes per game.
The suspension was not unexpected and likely factored into the Warriors' decision on Thursday to recall forward James Michael McAdoo from the D-League Santa Cruz Warriors.
