The Warriors signed rookie Kent Bazemore after his strongperformance as a member of their Summer League team.
The 65 guardforwardtook Klay Thompsons starting spot for the final three Summer League games andaveraged 10.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 27 minutes per game.Bazemore played four years at Old Dominion and was named theCAA Defensive Player of the Year for both his junior and senior seasons. Forhis career, he averaged 10.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.79 stealsin 26.3 minutes. Old Dominion went to the NCAA tournament in 2010 and 2011 withBazemore as a starter. In 2011, ODU lost in the first round by twopoints to eventual runner-up Butler.Bazemore set a new Warriors Las Vegas Summer League recordby blocking seven shots against the Chicago Bulls on July 20th. The 23-year-old will help fill the role ofChris Wright, who left the Warriors during Summer League for a betteropportunity with the Toronto Raptors.Bazemore will wear No. 20.
