The NBA Champion Golden State Warriors will tip off their 2015 preseason schedule by hosting the Toronto Raptors at the SAP Center in San Jose on Monday, October 5, marking the club’s return to the court 111 days after clinching the 2015 NBA Finals, the team announced Monday morning. The game will include a first-of-its-kind giveaway, with the first 10,000 fans receiving a San Jose Sharks Edition Stephen Curry Bobblehead that features the reigning NBA Most Valuable Player wearing a Sharks sweater in support of the Bay Area’s National Hockey League team that calls the SAP Center home.
Tickets for the game in San Jose will be available starting tomorrow (Tuesday, September 1) with a series of exclusive presale events, including opportunities for Warriors and Sharks season ticket holders, as well as Warriors Insiders. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, September 2, beginning at 4:00 p.m., on warriors.com or by calling 888-GSW-HOOP.
Following the preseason opener, the Warriors travel to Portland to face the Trail Blazers on Thursday, October 8, before returning to Oracle Arena for the first time since winning the 2015 NBA Championship for a pair of home games. On Tuesday, October 13, the Warriors host the Denver Nuggets at 7:30pm in a game that will be televised on CSN Bay Area. Two nights later, on Thursday, October 15, Golden State welcomes the Houston Rockets for a match-up that starts at 7pm. Information on availability of single-game tickets for the Warriors two preseason games at Oracle Arena will be announced at a later date.
The Warriors conclude their seven-game preseason schedule with a trip to Southern California for games against the Los Angeles Lakers at the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego on Saturday, October 17; the Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center on Tuesday, October 20; and the Lakers again at the Honda Center in Anaheim on Thursday, October 22.
