OAKLAND -- Starting power forward David Lee, who has missed the first three games of the season with a strained left hamstring, could return to the Warriors lineup in time to face the Clippers on Wednesday night at Oracle Arena.
"David scrimmaged," coach Steve Kerr said after practice Tuesday. "He looked really good. He's probably questionable (for Wednesday night), because we've got to see how he responds. But I was really happy to have David back."
Lee has not played since straining the hamstring in the Oct. 24 preseason finale against Denver. He had not even scrimmaged until Tuesday.
"I feel really good, and I'm ready to just go and contribute," Lee said, adding that barring any setback he expects to take the court.
"I felt just about as close to 100 percent as possible today."
Draymond Green has started the first three games in place of Lee and likely will start again Wednesday, given his past success against Clippers power forward Blake Griffin.
