The Warriors will face the Rockets in the Western Conference finals, with Game 1 scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday night at Oracle Arena.
Houston advanced after defeating Los Angeles 113-100 Sunday afternoon in Game 7 at Toyota Center. The Rockets won the final three games of the series to become the ninth team in NBA history to overcome a three-games-to-one deficit.
The Warriors were 4-0 against the Rockets this season, with all four wins coming by double digits. Houston center Dwight Howard missed the first two games. Warriors center Andrew Bogut missed the second game.
In the first meeting with both teams at full strength – with the Rockets having added Josh Smith and Corey Brewer through trades – the Warriors posted a 131-106 rout in Houston.
Game 2 also will be played at Oracle Arena, on Thursday night, before the teams travel to Houston for Games 3 and 4 over the Memorial Day weekend.
