The Warriors will open the Western Conference playoffs against the rival Clippers on Saturday at Staples Center in Los Angeles.
The Clippers' last chance to move up to the No. 2 seed in the conference ended with the Thunder defeating the Pistons 112-111 in the regular-season finale Wednesday night at Oklahoma City. Los Angeles finished the season with the No. 3 seed.
The Warriors clinched the No. 6 seed with a win over the Timberwolves on Monday night at Oracle Arena.
The teams split four hotly contested games in the regular season, each winning twice on its home floor.
The Warriors posted a 105-103 win on Christmas night and a 111-92 victory on Jan. 30 in Oakland.
The Clippers were 126-115 winners at Staples on Oct. 31 and took a 111-98 victory on March 12.
