OAKLAND -– Warriors guard Stephen Curry continues to lead all Western Conference players in votes for the upcoming NBA All-Star Game, trailing only LeBron James in the overall voting, the league announced Thursday.
Curry has 755,486 votes, while James leads the pack with 775,810 in the second release of in-progress results for the Feb. 15 game.
Curry remains ahead of Lakers star Kobe Bryant in the West, though Bryant is on track to start alongside Curry in the West backcourt. The leaders in the Western Conference frontcourt are Anthony Davis of the Pelicans, Blake Griffin of the Clippers and Marc Gasol of the Grizzlies.
The leaders in the East, behind James in the frontcourt, are Chicago's Pau Gasol and New York's Carmelo Anthony. The backcourt leaders are Washington's John Wall and Miami's Dwyane Wade.
Voting continues through Jan. 19. The starters will be announced Jan. 22.
